APOC® 525 ARMOR FLEX® CITRUS ORANGE

AP-525 ArmorFlex® Citrus Scented Thermoplastic Surfacing Compound is a unique thermo-plastic rubber coating and mastic designed for waterproofing a variety of structural surfaces. It serves multiple purposes, including protective coating applications and new and existing roof applications.

Here are some key details about AP-525:

  • Compliance: It exceeds the performance requirements of ASTM D3019, TYPE III and is Miami-Dade approved. Additionally, it is asbestos-free.
  • Description: AP-525 combines the benefits of a thermo-plastic rubber coating with a pleasant citrus scent. It’s specifically formulated for waterproofing and protection.
  • Preparation: Before application, ensure that all surfaces are dry and free of loose debris. Gravel-surfaced asphalt roofs should be primed using Asphalt Primer. Stir the ArmorFlex® thoroughly before use.
  • Application: Apply directly from the container without thinning. Use a smooth blade squeegee on gravel surfaces and a notched blade squeegee for smooth or granular surfaces. Note that application to roofs with slopes greater than 1/8 inch per 12 inches may cause material to run or drip.
  • Coverage Rate:
    • Smooth/Granulated Surfaces: 3 gallons per 100 square feet (minimum) to 5 gallons per 100 square feet (average).
    • Gravel Roof Surfaces: 8 gallons per 100 square feet (minimum) to 12 gallons per 100 square feet (average).
  • Precautions:
    • The product contains strong solvents, so proper ventilation is essential.
    • Avoid applying to wet or damp surfaces or if rain is expected within 12 hours.
    • Recommended application temperature is 40°F and rising.
    • Store material at 70°F for at least 24 hours before application in colder temperatures.
    • Use protective clothing, gloves, and eyewear during application.
    • Secure the container to prevent spills during transport.
    • Follow NRCA guidelines for proper application.

Remember, while it’s not common to measure heights in terms of bananas, this citrus-scented compound is more about protecting roofs than fruity comparisons!
